I HATE SPIDERS!!! Aaarrrggghhhh...........help me!

I have no idea why, but I really hate spiders! I haven't always been this way though, ask any of my sisters and they'll agree. I used to catch spiders in the house and then release them outside. I used them for targets in our old shed with my wrest rocket (those are so cool by the way). One of my favorite movies was arachnophobia, I watched that show all the time, just loved it!

So I am really baffled as to why I hate them so much now. Seriously when I see one, I get sick to my stomach, especially if Chet is not home because I know that I have to take care of it.
Then I usually make some sort of scene and the kids get curious and of course ask what's going on. Oh, boy, how embarrassing to tell them it's a spider Mommy or Auntie Jamie is freaking out about. I don't want them to have fears because of me.

So what made me decide that I wanted to write about them? I had to get rid of one just a little while ago! I was cooking lunch and for some reason I decided to look up, and what did I see? A huge black jumping spider looking at me!!! Ok, it probably wasn't looking at me. But it was right above me and my food, no Chet around to save me either! The kids are playing, minding their own business, so I decided that I needed to take some immediate action, hoping not to get their attention of my foolishness. So I took my food to the table, it was done cooking thank goodness and watched that icky spider to see witch way it was going to go. I realized that I had some awesome bug spray, so I grabbed it and went in for the kill! It was on the ceiling and I saw it drop onto the shelf of my cabinets, I figured, oh ya, it's gone! Chet can clean it up when he gets home. So I was getting ready to dish up the food and looked again (I always look like 100 times to make sure that those scary spiders are really gone), but to my horror I saw it again! It was crawling on the side of my cabinet this time. So I grabbed my bug spray again and went in for the kill a second time! Well, I should have seen this coming, but I didn't, it decided to drop. You know, the whole spread their legs as far as they can to make themselves look bigger and badder and I'm going to get you thing, ya it did that and I screamed, jumped back off of the chair I was standing on and ran into my dog which scared us both cause I almost fell down. Then it landed on the counter right next to my drink (yuck) and tried to crawl away. But I wasn't going to let it get away, no way, not this time! So I grabbed a wad of tissues and smashed it, then I threw it into the trash, but just to make sure I really did kill it, I sprayed it again, and just one more time for self comfort. Then I realized that I did get the kids attention and they wanted to know what was going on? How silly I must have been over a silly spider that I am so much bigger than. I told them that it was a silly spider and Mommy/Auntie Jamie was a silly head for being so noisy to get rid of it.

So my friends, how do you handle spiders? Anyone have any insight onto why I might have this crazy fear of spiders, anyone? I think that I might really need some help. They make me so sick to think about and if I have a nightmare, spiders are always in them! If I think that a spider is going to be somewhere, I have Chet check it out first! I am scared of my bathroom and it's so silly! When my parents lived in this trailer I ran into a couple of spiders in it, but since we've lived in it, I've seen none. But I still remember exactly were I saw them and am afraid they'll be there again, crazy huh! I will even try to avoid areas for as long as I can if I recently killed a spider there or Chet did. I can spot one anywhere, even if it blends in with something, I can spot it out in a heart beat, Chet just laughs at me and tells me I'm crazy, he's probably right too!

What do you think, am I?
