Scripture for the day:

D&C 9:8~ But, behold, I say unto you, that you must study it out in your mind;  then you must ask me if it be right, and if it is right I will cause that your bosom shall burn within you;  therefore, you shall feel that it is right.

Where did you go Cian??!!

Oh my goodness!  Tonight we went to McDonalds for dinner and we let the kids play in the kiddy area.  Well Iolly and Ezra wanted to play with the basketballs, so Chet and I helped them.  Cian was in the play area while we were doing this.  When they were done with the basketballs, Chet and I  sat at the table.  I then started to look for Cian in the toy area just then Chet said, "Cian?"  I looked back behind me and Cian was walking into the kid area from the dining area and was crying!  I then picked him up and held him and asked "Where did you go Cian?"  He said that he went outside to our van looking for us.  The van is clear across the parking lot!!!  I was so scared for him, mad at myself, and glad that nothing happened.  I'm still pretty mad, I mean, what kind of parents don't realize their child is missing?  It happened so fast!  I'm so thankful nothing bad happened, but I'm still mad at myself for letting it happen.  I had a good talk with him afterwards and then again on the way to the van.  I hope nothing like this happens again, it's just scary to think of the what ifs.

Scripture for the day:

Mark 11:24~ Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Exhausted Again!!!

So we had another bad night last night.  Iolly seems a little better tonight, so hopefully....
Anyways, today we got to ride the Pocatello Transit with the kids for the first time, it was a fun experience for them.  We actually went with two of my sisters, their kids (total of 8 kids on the bus), my brother and my older nephew.  It was like a small party on there.  The kids thought that it was great!  When we were done, we went to Farr's and got ice cream, yummy!!!!!
We then went to old town Poky and attended the Alive at Five, it was ok, nothing too great.  But maybe it would have been better if we wasn't hauling a bunch of kids around.  We then had dinner at Molto Caldo's, the best pizza place here!
Now I'm more than ready for bed and hoping like crazy we have a better night tonight, wish me luck!

So I watched a movie the other day that has been bothering me like crazy, and I have been thinking about it a lot. The movie was “Taken”. Yea, Yea, I know! What took me so long? That movie is so old right? Well that’s not the point. I think no matter how old it is it brings up some good points and ideas to think about.

Those of you who have already seen this movie, skip to the next paragraph. But the rest of you let me quickly brief you. A father, divorced from a marriage with one daughter, feels bad about spending most of his life away from the daughters’ life as, I am assuming, a secret service or CIA agent. While trying to make up, the x wife and daughter makes him feel bad for not letting the 16 year old girl go to Paris with her 19 year old friend, accusing him of being to paranoid. Feeling the pressure and wanting to bridge the gap between them, he allows her to go. While there, they are tricked by a sweet talking “spotter”, and abducted into a human trafficking movement. During the abduction, the father was able to talk to the daughter on her cell phone, and get vital information that allows him to travel to Paris and start on the trail of recovering her.

First, I loved the fathers’ wisdom and instinct that others wrongly referred to as him being paranoid. But as he so rightly put it, he wasn’t being paranoid, he was simply aware. As parents, children and spouses, perhaps we could all take a moment and think why others might be uneasy about things, and maybe consider that they might know something we don’t. Who knows, maybe the Spirit has whispered to their hearts something that we are to proud to hear, especially our parents who are called to watch over and pray for us. I know from personal experience that if I would have listened to my parents’ advice, I would have suffered less of life’s hard lesions.

The second point is the condition of the world that requires us to be watchful in prayer continually and listening for the quiet whispers and the enticing of the spirit. We live and a sick and dark world! But wait… its not that bad right? The world is not that wicked! Tell me something, does God look upon sin with the least degree of allowance? These people were masters and subjects to greed, powerful drugs and the sinful desires of sex and addiction. They were selling young woman, daughters of God, as slaves to fulfill their sinful desires! If that is not wickedness, if that does not make God shake in anger and sadness, what does? And this sort of thing is happening all over the earth! And more, you don’t have to look far to find similar things happening around you. Be careful to think that the world will get much worse before the end, because I think it’s already bad enough off. If you are waiting for things to get worse, you might miss the point.

Time passes everyday and yes, the world does grow darker. But it also grows brighter. The bad things in this world are only to often put on the front page and published for all to see long before we see the good and great things that are growing in frequency and numbers. But don’t bee fooled. The light is increasing as well, and the gray area in between is shrinking smaller and smaller, ‘till soon it will be no more.

Like the father that came to the rescue of this young girl, we to have a rescuer. The Savior is on the track and He will not abandon us. In our darkest hours, He gives us hope, comfort and light. Lets always trust in Him, and He will take us by the hand and lead us for good.

Scripture for the day:

Matthew 7:7~  Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

It's only Tuesday?

Aye yi yi!  It's only Tuesday and yet I'm already ready for the weekend!  It's been one of those days that you can't wait till it's over!  My little Iolly was up late last night again from his cold (throwing up again from too much phlegm) and then up early this morning.  He was so cranky all day long and would not take a nap.  Oh, wait, he did go to sleep, then his older brother decided to throw a tantrum and woke him up, that's right.  It's really hard to do anything when you have one cranky kid, but my nephew was also feeling icky today.  He wanted no one to bother him at all, so what do the kids do?  They pick on him any chance that came along, oye, what a day!
Well I'm glad it's over!  Hopefully we have a better night and tomorrow is a brighter day!  :)

Scripture for the day:

D&C 8:10~Remember that without faith you can do nothing; therefore ask in faith.....

My hubby is AWESOME!!!!!!

Chet stayed home from work today to go to Ezzy's last tee ball game today. Since he was home, he worked his bum off on our yard and made it look nice again! We kind of let our yard go, just busy with other stuff and kept putting it off. But he made up for it today, he mowed our yard, weed whacked, pulled weeds and little trees from the flower garden, took care of some wasps, cleaned our porch really nicely, and watered the yard afterwords. He was the man today! I'm so proud of him, he is amazing! Thank you so much Chet! I love you!!!

Ouch!!!!

While visiting with my parents tonight, Cian hit his head onto the corner of their china cabinet and now he has a HUGE goose ache on the top of his head! My poor little boy, he cried so hard, I hate it when my kids get hurt, makes me want to cry with them. :(

Last day for tee ball!

Well today was Ezzy's last day for tee ball, so sad and yet good at the same time. I love to watch kids play tee ball, they are just so cute! You just never know whats going to happen at the games. Ezzy always watches where the ball goes before she starts running for first base. And her cousin Aymaya, also on the same team, loves to chat to everyone and forgets to pay attention to the game.
Usually when I go to her game, I have a bunch of kids with me, so I maybe get to see her hit once or go after the ball a few times. The other kids with me are usually seeing what kind of trouble they can get into, so I won't miss that part. :)

Fun in St. Anthony on Saturday and a great day at church today!

We had a blast on Saturday, we went to St. Anthony to visit some good friends and to celbrate Pioneer Day with them.  They had a pretty good parade, lots of candy for the kids.  My son, Cian, almost got ran over by some horses and a buggy, scared me to death!  He ran out to grab some candy and at the same time the person driving the horse and buggy decided to have the horses walk in circles.  They didn't see him and he was not paying any attention to us about hurrying it up.  He finally moved out of the way, before anything bad happened.  Other than that, it was great!
After the parade we went to our friend's house and prepared lunch to eat at the park.  We also got ready to do some swimming afterwards.  St. Anthony has a fun little place to go swimming for kids.  Lots of sand for them to play in too.  The kids and Chet had a blast in the water.  I got to chat with Kendra and do some catching up with her, that was so fun!  Some other friends of Kendra's showed up and I got the privilege to hold their little 3 month old while they played in the water with their other little girl.  Holding their baby made me want a baby even more!  Hopefully some day soon we can.
When we was done up there we headed back home again.  That was a long ride for us!  It was only 2 hours, but our kids were very cranky and did not go to sleep!  They pretty much fought and bickered over everything they could.  Iollan tried to get out of his seat belt and we had to pull over and fix that, then he cried the rest of the way home.  I even sat next to him to try to comfort him, but that didn't work either.  Chet and I were so grateful to be home and to finally get the kids into bed!  We had a long day, a late night, and had to get up early for church today.
We had 2 extra kids today to take with us to church.  I think that Chet and I both kind of worried about that.  But all of the kids were awesome, even my 2 nieces and they've never been to church before.  I was so very proud of them all!  Iolly hasn't been feeling very well, so I kept him out of nursery and with me.  So we walked around for a bit.  He had to get a drink from every drinking fountain that we passed, his last time he somehow managed to drench himself!  How does that happen?  Anyways, he got bored of that so we went for a drive till church was done.  Now we are home, all the kids are sleeping and I'm trying to figure this blogging thing out.  I'm not the best writer, so I hope that I don't bore anyone, please let me know if it is so that I can have my hubby take over.  lol  Seriously though, let me know!  :)

*Alma 37:37~  Counsel with the Lord in all thy doings, and he will direct thee for good; yea, when thou liest down at night lie down unto the Lord, that he may watch over you in your sleep; and when thou risest in the morning let thy heart be full of thanks unto God; and if ye do these things, ye shall be lifted up at the last day.
