I HATE SPIDERS!!! Aaarrrggghhhh...........help me!

I have no idea why, but I really hate spiders! I haven't always been this way though, ask any of my sisters and they'll agree. I used to catch spiders in the house and then release them outside. I used them for targets in our old shed with my wrest rocket (those are so cool by the way). One of my favorite movies was arachnophobia, I watched that show all the time, just loved it!

So I am really baffled as to why I hate them so much now. Seriously when I see one, I get sick to my stomach, especially if Chet is not home because I know that I have to take care of it.
Then I usually make some sort of scene and the kids get curious and of course ask what's going on. Oh, boy, how embarrassing to tell them it's a spider Mommy or Auntie Jamie is freaking out about. I don't want them to have fears because of me.

So what made me decide that I wanted to write about them? I had to get rid of one just a little while ago! I was cooking lunch and for some reason I decided to look up, and what did I see? A huge black jumping spider looking at me!!! Ok, it probably wasn't looking at me. But it was right above me and my food, no Chet around to save me either! The kids are playing, minding their own business, so I decided that I needed to take some immediate action, hoping not to get their attention of my foolishness. So I took my food to the table, it was done cooking thank goodness and watched that icky spider to see witch way it was going to go. I realized that I had some awesome bug spray, so I grabbed it and went in for the kill! It was on the ceiling and I saw it drop onto the shelf of my cabinets, I figured, oh ya, it's gone! Chet can clean it up when he gets home. So I was getting ready to dish up the food and looked again (I always look like 100 times to make sure that those scary spiders are really gone), but to my horror I saw it again! It was crawling on the side of my cabinet this time. So I grabbed my bug spray again and went in for the kill a second time! Well, I should have seen this coming, but I didn't, it decided to drop. You know, the whole spread their legs as far as they can to make themselves look bigger and badder and I'm going to get you thing, ya it did that and I screamed, jumped back off of the chair I was standing on and ran into my dog which scared us both cause I almost fell down. Then it landed on the counter right next to my drink (yuck) and tried to crawl away. But I wasn't going to let it get away, no way, not this time! So I grabbed a wad of tissues and smashed it, then I threw it into the trash, but just to make sure I really did kill it, I sprayed it again, and just one more time for self comfort. Then I realized that I did get the kids attention and they wanted to know what was going on? How silly I must have been over a silly spider that I am so much bigger than. I told them that it was a silly spider and Mommy/Auntie Jamie was a silly head for being so noisy to get rid of it.

So my friends, how do you handle spiders? Anyone have any insight onto why I might have this crazy fear of spiders, anyone? I think that I might really need some help. They make me so sick to think about and if I have a nightmare, spiders are always in them! If I think that a spider is going to be somewhere, I have Chet check it out first! I am scared of my bathroom and it's so silly! When my parents lived in this trailer I ran into a couple of spiders in it, but since we've lived in it, I've seen none. But I still remember exactly were I saw them and am afraid they'll be there again, crazy huh! I will even try to avoid areas for as long as I can if I recently killed a spider there or Chet did. I can spot one anywhere, even if it blends in with something, I can spot it out in a heart beat, Chet just laughs at me and tells me I'm crazy, he's probably right too!

What do you think, am I?

And The Winner Is:

This is really late, but I thought that some of you would like to know if we won any of the pet constests we entered. YES! We did! Infact we won a place at both stores! When we got the calls, we were very surprised by both of the winners. I thought for sure that Beth would have one at least one of them, but she did not, not one! Crazy huh? Everyone I talked to told me that they thought that she would win cause they loved her costume, but that's not what happened. Then I was hoping that Sharcha the Ice Cream Cone might have a better chance than the rest, but maybe that was because she was my personal favorite, but she didn't win either. Ok, I guess I really should be telling who DID win istead of who DIDN'T!
And the winners are:

First place for the McKees in Pocatello was........

TIM THE BAT!

And third place for the McKees in Chubbuck was.........

OLIVIA THE GARDEN FAIRY!

First place prize was $25 gift card and third place won us a $10 card as well. Not too shabby huh? That was soooo fun, I can't wait till next year to do it again!

Parry's Halloween 2009!

Happy Halloween Everyone!
We are late with these, as usual, but I finally got them on here! The family pics were done today, I realized that we didn't take any as planned, what a crazy day yesterday was! The only difference is that we didn't color our hair today, didn't want to miss with that again!
We went to a total of 3 Halloween parties this year, the kids had a blast at each one, well Ezzy and Cian did. Iolly has been sick all week with a nasty cold, so he only wen out last night.
We hung out with Erica and her two boys (the transformers) for most of the day. We took the kids to Pizza Hut for dinner and they loved that. Later Chet and Erica took the kids trick or treating, I stayed at my mom's with Iolly since he still wasn't feeling too well, poor kid!
During the day we dressed up all our animals and took pictures for the local pet contest. I am so proud of the costumes, I made them all! It took a lot of time for them, but it was worth it in the end. Hopefully we can win, last year we won second place with our beloved white rat, SnowWhite. I just love creating costumes, they are so much fun!
I made all the warlock costumes for my boys this year, but I did cheat with mine and Ezzy's though. I had boughten her witch one last year, it was too big and I didn't think that I was really going to use it. But while on ebay I came across the same exact one but in my size, I bought it and we got to wear the same exact dress! She was so excited, as was I, 2 less costumes for me to make! lol Then I found the identical witches hat at Good Wills, so that was nice too! We all had orange hair for the night, the kids thought that was so cool!
When we were pretty much done with our outing, Ezzy decided to inform me of some great news! Christmas is coming soon Mom! Yikes, she shouldn't know that yet, should she? Then Cian piped in and stated that Santa will be bringing them presents! Who tells them this stuff? I know that I haven't, I've been trying to keep that one quiet till a wee bit later, oh well, too late now! lol
