Scripture for the day:

John 15:10 & 12
  10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.
  12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

Scripture for the day:

2 Nephi 25:29~And now behold, I say unto you that the right way is to believe in Christ, and deny him not; and Christ is  the Holy One of Isreal; wherefore ye must bow down before him, and worship him with all your might, mind, and strength, and your whole soul; and if ye do this ye shall in nowise be cast out.

*Our FHE theme for this month is Choose The Right and this scripture goes right along with it.

Bringing The Fair Home!

We decided not to go to the fair this year because we are making a trip to Utah and we'd rather have extra money for that then going to the fair.  So we decided to bring the fair home.
So for our FHE activity tonight we let the kids play games and win some fun prizes (I love the dollar store!).  First they played tic-tac-toe with a bean bag tossing game.  That was kind of hard for the kids, so I had to eventually just let them win their prizes.  The next game was a fishing game.  I hid behind our camping mattresses and Chet helped them reel the prizes in, the kids loved that one.  The last game they had to throw the balls and try to knock down the bowling pins.  Since they just love to throw things in the house, that was probably the best game of the night!
During all this Chet cooked up some prime rib and then made the most delicious sandwiches from it.  It was so good, better than the ones at the fair, but I'm probably just prejudice with that.  :)  Oh, and the corn on the cob was excellent too, don't you just love fresh corn? mmmm....
For dessert we decided to do cotton candy and it was actually kind of good.  I found it at the dollar store, so I wasn't too sure of it, but not bad.  Way better freshly made at the fair though.
Well, that was about it for tonight.  Tomorrow night I'm making more food for dinner that we probably would have eaten if we had gone.  Nighty-night!  :)

First Question Of The Day;

Ezzy woke up this morning and immediately asked "Why did the baby die in your tummy?"  This happened about 6 months ago, I thought that we were done with that conversation, but apparently not.  It so hard to answer a question like that to a child, I don't know why.  That's what I told her too.  "I don't know why these things happen, but sometimes they do.  Heavenly Father knows why and someday maybe we will too, but that's ok if we never do find out, it's just part of his plan."
She then asked, "When will we have another baby?"  Again, I don't know.  "When Heavenly Father sends us another one, he knows when it's best for us to have another."  I don't know how to answer these, especially with out getting all emotional about it, I don't want her to feel like she can't ask me a question because Mommy might cry.  It's so hard for adults to understand these things, how can we expect a child to?  Why do they happen?  Why do parents who really want to have children have a difficult time with it, and others who aren't good parents have several babies with no problem?  I don't understand it and I probably never will, not in this lifetime anyways.

*if anyone has a better answer, please let me know.

Scripture for the day:

Alma 37:35-37
35 O, remember, my son, and learn wisdom in thy youth; yea, learn in thy youth to keep the commandments of God.
   36 Yea, and cry unto God for all thy support; yea, let all thy doing be unto the Lord, and whithersoever thou goest let it be in the Lord; yea, let all thy thoughts be directed unto the Lord; yea, let the affections of thy heart be placed upon the Lord forever.
   37 Counsel with the Lord in all thy doings, and he will direct thee for good; yea, when thou liest down at night lie down unto the Lord, that he may watch over you in your sleep; and when thou risest in the morning let thy heart be full of thanks unto God; and if ye do these things, ye shall be lifted up at the last day.

I chose these scriptures because they go with my favorite hymn; Families Can Be Together Forever
When my sister passed away, I was lost at what happens to people when they die.  I was talking to my friend about it and she suggested that I talked to the missionaries.  The first set did not work out, but the second set were awesome!  Their first lesson for me was about the plan of salvation.  The spirit was so strong that I already knew that it was true, I loved it!  I knew about the church, I was even going to young women's before hand.  But I never really investigated into it till my sister passed away.  This song has so much meaning to me, I know that I can and will see my sister again, and that her wonderful children will get to be with her once again!   I love the plan of salvation!  I love my Heavenly Father, and I love my savior, Jesus Christ!  Because of him we can be reunited with our Heavenly Father!  I love the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints!  I love the scriptures, they give us so much knowledge and guidance to help us draw near unto our Heavenly Father, who loves us and wants us to have him in our life!  I love being able to have the Holy Spirit be with us at all times.  Thank you Heavenly Father for guiding us and showing us our way, thank you so much.  I leave these things with you in the name of thy son, Jesus Christ.  Amen

Make a family objective to all be together in the
celestial kingdom.  Strive to make your home a little
bit of heaven on earth so that after this life is over,
you may be able to say:
    We are all here!
   Father, mother, sister, brother,
     All who hold each other dear.
   Each chair is filled---
   We're all at home....
   We're all--all here

Raising Up A Family To The Lord})

IT WAS AN ACCIDENT, I PROMISE!!!

So right after I posted that last note (literally, got done typing, closed out of the browser, and right as I was shutting my laptop) I noticed that Iolly had climbed onto my beautiful laundry mountain and was looking at a little door greeting sign I had just purchased at the DI.  I went to grab it from him and accidently got him in the eye with it!  His eye is all blood shot now.  I think that I might have bruised it, nothing serious though, thank goodness for that!  I feel horrible about it, but feel even worse because I just posted about the possibility of going crazy.  But that wasn't the case, I promise!  I was sane when it happened, PLEASE believe me!

Scripture for the day:

Alma 13:28~ But that ye would humble yourselves before the Lord, and call on his holy name, and watch and pray continually, that ye may not be tempted above that which ye can bear, and thus be led by the Holy Spirit, becoming humble, meek, submissive, patient, full of love and all long-suffering;

*This scripture is much needed today.  I haven't been getting good sleep lately and the kids are super crazy today.  I need help help from my Heavenly Father to love them and to avoid the temptation of going crazy with them!
